Ecosystem Dilemma Convention

This page focuses on an event I made called Ecosystem Dilemma. During my Graphics Design class at Rutgers University, I was tasked with creating a convention and designing ways to promote it. I chose to make a convention based on protecting the environment out of my love of nature. The purpose was to inform the audience about the hazards that harm nature and inspire them to be involved in environmental care.

First, I designed a logo comprised of an industrial factory with a tree growing from the central chimney. The idea was to exemplify the current problem and the ideal solution.

Then, I created a brochure describing the convention and what it hopes to achieve within the community. The front cover reveals pictures of some of the celebrity guest speakers who will be attending the convention. The back cover shows two hands embracing the earth and my tagline: Don’t be Mean. Be Green!

The brochure also contains a brief description explaining what the event is. There is even a schedule listing the dates and their topic of discussion. The schedule list also reveals when each celebrity guest will make their appearance.

Next, I created a poster using my convention logo located at the center. Surrounding the logo are words of inspiration to convince the audience to contribute to helping the environment. The poster can be found inside of the brochure.

I then made a website page containing all the information previously stated in my brochure. The page also includes my merchandise: t-shirts and handbags. These serve as both an extension of my brand with new designs and taglines and a means to spread awareness of environmental hazards. With that page, I also made a loading screen with my logo and a spinning color wheel.

Furthermore, I made ID badges and tickets for the convention. I wanted to make the tickets and badges look simple in design while also showing enough to have them relate to my convention. Their designs either have flowers blooming or have leaves flowing from the edges. The project was completed in December 2018.

Finally, I illustrated two handbags as my merchandise. They are designed with my logo to spread awareness of environmental hazards. Each handbag also has new taglines I made up. Furthermore, I made ID badges and tickets for the convention. Their designs either have flowers blooming or have leaves flowing from the edges. I wanted to make the tickets and badges look simple in design. The project was completed in December 2018.
